My daughter recieved a Story Reader and several books for Christmas. Five of the seven books she received DID NOT work in her Reader. Because the books were purchased in another state and not available where I live, simply returning them to a store is not possible. I called Publications Int. hoping for some way to exhange the books and got a very blunt, NO! Their warrenty does not cover the books or cartridges in any way. I’m now stuck with five non-working titles for a toy my daughter ought to be able to enjoy endlessly!!! That’s about $50 down the drain. What a rip off!!!!!! Do not buy these books!!!

I was disappointed to learn that the cartridge to be used in this does not work – my three-year-old was bummed, too. I need to send this back.

While my daughter does not have these books with her story reader, she does have seven other titles. She received it as a gift for Christmas and enjoys it very much. All of the titles work fine. She’s almost three and can change the cartridges and books all by herself. She likes to read the stories independently and with a companion. The unit works with batteries but you can purchase an a/c adapter separately. All in all, we enjoy this toy very much.

I ordered these books for my 2 yr old and she loves them. They work perfectly in our story reader and keep her entertained on long car trips and airplane rides.
